NNC 2025

The ECN is Nigeria’s apex government agency for energy policy planning and coordination. It is mandated to guide strategic energy sector policy, ensure the diversification of Nigeria’s energy mix—including solar, wind, biomass, and nuclear—and promote optimal resource use. Its vision is to secure adequate, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy for the nation’s socio-economic development. ECN also advises both federal and state governments, researches alternative energy technologies, and supports data-driven energy planning.
